I agree with the “ BAD EXPERIENCE” reports. As a solo traveller, I was keen to tát get out of the big cities previously visited. ( Ho Chi Minh and Da Lat). I’d read some info on this place on Internet sánh tried in vain to tát book 2 nights via his FB page. The tin nhắn on the page is incorrect and the phone never answered the first few days I tried. Why bother welcoming tourists if you don’t wish to tát be found and they are not listed on any khách sạn platforms such as Trip Advisor or Bookings. Com. The harder to tát book the more I wanted to tát experience this supposed haven built on a lake. I finally got the khách sạn receptionist to tát phone and book 2 nights for bủ. Excited, I got a cab 22 kms through bumpy terrain one way roads ( with 2 lane traffic). A scary journey. On my arrival the owner barely acknowledged my ( westerner) arrival and grumbled a few Vietnamese words at bủ . The place was populated only with Vietnamese and he smiled happily at them... a split personality I would imagine. He frowns at westerners ( who pay his ngân hàng account), and beams at Locals. My supposed 2 night trip was quickly shortened to tát the one night ( too much time), after I was sharing my room with unpaid, uninvited guests but not of the human kind. I got no sleep in my rock hard excuse for a mattress with dirty, smelly pillow covers and sheets. So my stay in SPIDER PALACE was short lived and I had light on all night due to tát bủ keeping eyes out for the growing family of Spiders, bull ants and ants. I’m from nước Australia and certainly used to tát large spiders sánh this didn’t bother bủ other than vãn the fact that these were clearly on steroids. I can live with them but not wanting them crawling on me). I began naming them since NO WIFI and not wishing to tát sleep ( in case they crawled over me). Just when I had them under control ( within vision), the daddy of all daddy’s ( nicknamed Annie- Aka Arnold Swartzenegger). He was sánh big he was in steroids and had paws and was guarding my door sánh I couldn’t escape for fear of dropping on my back for a piggy back. During the day I had gone to tát eat and saw a flea ridden cát scratching himself and licking the serving bowls . I ordered an egg roll and drink (175,000 dong- special price for “westerners”)). He cook put the eggs into the bowl the cát was licking and hen I said something the man there said she didn’t. Oh well, I shared with spiders and bull ants, sánh what’s another creature right? Luckily I’d bought my own supplies too. ( NB BYO FOOD SUPPLIES IF YOUR’E A WESTERNER MAD ENOUGH TO RISK THE EXPERIENCE). I get it was only $6 AUD A NIGHT BUT FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF UNFRIENDLY HOST AND SPIDERS AND BULL ANTS AND NOISY CROAKING FROGS ( they were cute), and putrid sheets and pillows seriously.... BTW ASTHMATICS BE FOREWARNED! The bonfire to tát burn the garbage happens almost outside your purple bungalow sánh if you can bear the heavy smog infiltrating he room then this is the place for you!! NOT!! BYO gas mark I left at the crack of dawn and a nice lady ( maybe his wife), assisted in checking bủ out and getting g a cab. The only good experience sánh far plus the cab back to tát Da Lat. A positive: the place is pretty around the lake and at night but it’s worth an hour... Would I recommend a stay here? Pictures speak a 1000 words. …

We really enjoyed the ride out because there was some lovely scenery. The last few kilometres are a little rough on the motorbike and your backside as the road is not paved and very rocky, but overall, worth a visit
