Hotel was just average. It's cheap that's why. Service was normal, towels were not ví clean, room for 4 people was just a little bit tight. I'm not very impressed but for a cheap khách sạn that one is ok. I would come back when i ran out of budget.

I had crossed the border from Cambodia (easy enough) and started off a month in Vietnam at Ha Tien. I eventually came across the Hai Van khách sạn. As the only other reviewer mentions... great balcony + views for miles + miles. The khách sạn itself is decent but old skool. Big beds, tv, huge room and... a bath! The khách sạn is pretty big ví you're guaranteed a bed here. All for around $8 US Dollars a night. There is a bar opposite... I had a feeling high prices were coming my way but the staff were very friendly + glad to tướng entertain us. The staff don't speak English at Hai Van ví prepare to tướng write/draw or use hand signals. They were very helpful in arranging onward travel to tướng Chau Doc, the first step in reaching HCMC. I spent a month in Vietnam and this was probably the second best place I slept in (the best being NN99 in HCMC).

The staff spoke very little English but enough to tướng work out what room we preferred - higher up with a balcony, even if some of this was acted out with hand signals and my limited knowledge of numbers in Vietnamese! There was just two of us and the room was huge! Two double beds, a high ceiling and a balcony that overlooked the đô thị. Great view of the sunset. It was 300,000vnd which was a bit more kêu ca some of the other hotels but it was clean, and comfy beds and pillows. Shower over bath with plenty of hot water. No breakfast but this is a common theme in Ha Tien. There are table and chairs yên ổn the room and we had these out on the balcony although they kept moving them back on when they cleaned the room. Tv and wardrobe plus side table by bed. We checked out early with notice and someone got up early for this too. Enjoyed our stay.
